The International Education Exchange Center Held Series of Activities to Help Bid for the Olympics

To bid for winter Olympic games together with Beijing in 2022, the university organized a series of activities to enrich the campus life of our students.
In 2015, our school had more than 2012 students participate in the Spring Festival Gala live performances and programs recorded in Zhangjiakou. Garner's Chinese performances won the enthusiastic applause from the audience.
On March 3rd, the "Zhangjiakou daily” and “Zhangjiakou Evening News" reported that foreign students celebrated the "Chinese years". The International Education Exchange Center organized students to make dumplings and Spring Festival scrolls to enjoy the special "Chinese years". Ding Baocheng (Baocheng Ding) also invited students home to visit paper cutting to feel the confidence from Zhangjiakou in bidding Olympics.
On March 25th and 26th, the International Education Exchange Center organized students to hold a tug of war, more than 620 students from 36 countries participated in the competition. In the tug of war game scene, the players were very happy, each class had enthusiastic cheerleading team to cheer for their respective teams. Finally, 2013 batch students won the championship, 2014 batch and 2011 batch students runners up. This is an activity which regards the teamwork as the core. Tug of war made students come together from different countries. Students think it is a funny Chinese game to let them get more happiness".
The foreign students also attended the writing competition named “Zhangjiakou in foreigners’ eyes”. They attended the competition actively. More than 20 articles were collected. In the articles, they praised the changes in Zhangjiakou and expressed the love to their second hometown Zhangjiakou as well as the support to bid the winter Olympic games.
All the activities showed the support to bid winter Olympics with Beijing from Hebei North University and foreign students, and they also helped the foreign students to know Chinese culture better.
