Studying medicine in HBNU is one of my best decisions I've ever made.
In my entire life. As a pre-medical Student, I did the same, nothing different from what a normal student does who is worried about his future goals as a doctor. The moment I had my grades back after my senior high school I was quite determined to join a medical college but what college shall I join? Will it be right to go to another country among the people I don’t even know about? These were some of the questions that were present in my mind.
However, when I became a part of HBNU I witnessed the quality of study that was being taught here, I wasn't disappointed at all.
During my first year anatomy, histology, and terminology. These laid the base of our upcoming years knowledge, we had to master them entirely in order to gain perfection in our upcoming subjects as it is believed that the following years will get tougher and tougher as the time passes.
After our first year was passed we entered a completely new world which was informative while on the other hand was full of the busy schedule of studying, labs and homework. We studied physiology, microbiology, parasitology, immunology, biochemistry, and anatomy but this time it was fun and hectic at the same time as we had to perform experiments on the cadavers. We all were projected to examine cadavers which were a quite new experience for everyone. It was difficult but quite helpful as these were the things that are going to help us once we are no more students of medicine but the doctors struggling to save the life of our patient.
The best part I felt while performing those experiments was that a single cadaver allowed to a small group of students maybe 3 to 5, which made it more educational as everyone was to play his part in the experiments.
Now I’m in my 3rd year of medical studies and studying more complex systems of the human body and how to deal them as a doctor.
